As part of our Explore Arts Award, we began researching the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO), today!
First we discussed what we already know: they perform at the Barbican in Central London, one of their main artists is Paul Rissman, and they play popular music like the theme for ‘Star Wars.’
Then we used a fact file and the LSO’s website to come up with group mind maps. We found out some fascinating facts.
The orchestra was formed over 120 years ago! It is London’s oldest orchestra. Also, they work with over 65,000 people every year. That includes students like us at Monteagle!
They have recorded sound tracks for movies, have broken world records and won competitions.
Stay tuned for more research!
