Inspired by our book of the week ‘Stanley’s Stick’ the children in reception were encouraged to collect some of their own sticks to make a fire.
Supervised by our caretaker, Mr McCarthy, the children carried out observational drawings, observing the changes that happened throughout the process.
“In the beginning the sticks were long and brown but at the end the sticks were black and white.” Jason commented
“The sticks changed into ash and charcoal.” Victoria said.
“The fire was hot and Orange.” Harrison added.
