This week, Year 4 have begun reading the fantastic story of ‘Oliver and the Seawigs’. So far, we have learnt about the main character Oliver, and his parents, who are keen explorers! We drew items to go in their ‘Explorer-mobile’, as well as finding out about famous explorers such as Gary Connery, a wingsuit pioneer, and Erik Weihenmayer, a blind adventurer who climbed Mount Everest!
We have also learnt how the story is set in ‘Deepwater Bay’. Using oil pastels, and an image from the book, we recreated ‘Deepwater Bay’ putting our own unique creative twist on things!
