On Monday 13 July Year 6 started a ‘Year 6 Experience Week’. These are the experiences Year 6 would have had if the Covid-19 pandemic hadn’t put a stop to it. We started the week by taking part in a digital art project.
The children started by painting a blended background on their canvass before taking a selfie. The selfie was printed out and the children traced around the picture. They then took a picture of the outline and uploaded the image to Purple Mash. Using the paint tools, they then added colour and texture to their traced image. This was was then printed and stuck to their canvass. Finally, the children used a variety of mark making and printing skills to complete their self portrait.
I hope you enjoy our finished product.
