Using our ‘Inspire Maths’ scheme, we have been exploring Multiplication and Division this week.
Following on from Year 1’s work, what was ‘repeated addition‘ has become MULTIPLICATION and ‘grouping and sharing‘ has turned into DIVISION.
The children have excelled themselves this week and have demonstrated a very mature attitude to their learning, embracing the changing terminology. Completing their activities in pairs and working with a variety of manipulative’s, the children have tackled each multiplication and division activity with zest and, best of all, with smiles on their faces – as you can see by looking at these photos:
