This week, Year 4 have had a fantastic time learning all about recycling!
We were lucky enough to have a visitor from ‘ Keep Britain Tidy’.
The day was exciting and everyone was able to learn about why it is important for us to recycle.
We also found out how long different materials take to biodegrade such as: newspaper taking a month and clothes taking 30-40 years.
In addition, each class went out exploring the school grounds looking for different types of trees, what living creatures we could find and any animal footprints which may still be in the mud.
Once we came inside, each child got a chance to make either a bird feeder or a bug hotel out of reusable items.
We all had a brilliant time.
