In assemblies, we have been enjoying the story Journey to the West; a traditional Chinese story. As we are nearing the end of the story and are closing in on the Chinese New Year (Monday 8th February), we had a visit from a Chinese lion. The Lion danced for us, before revealing itself to be two amazing dancers. After the assembly, the dancers worked with each of the Year 5 classes and taught us some lion dance moves. The children were thoroughly impressed with what they saw and learned!
