This week nursery have made their own slime. Children have absolutely loved mixing ingredients together to see their end product which they then had a chance to play with. This was not only a fun experience but very beneficial. Making slime is a tactile sensory experience, it also promotes mindfulness, helps children focus, promotes fine motor skills, and is calming.
Below is what some children said:
Ava: “We mixed glue, glitter and magical liquid to make our slime”
Terrell: “My slime is stretchy and cold”
Mikaeel: “My slime is sticky. I’m making it very long”
Kaid: “I can squeeze my slime”
