This week, Year 2 have enjoyed taking part in maths week. We built on our knowledge of 2D shapes and learnt all about quadrilaterals and polygons. We discovered that a polygon with 100 sides is called a hectogon. We learnt some new maths vocabulary too. Did you know that the mathematical term for a corner is vertex.
We then went on to learn more about 3D shapes. We learnt how to compare 3D shapes by counting the number of faces, edges and vertices they have.
We ended the week by dressing up as our favourite shape. What a fun week!
