It has been a tasteful week, this week. We had to become chocolate experts and taste 4 different varieties of chocolate. We used our sense of smell, taste, sight and touch to score each chocolate out of 10.
we tasted milk, dark, white and caramel chocolate. The dark chocolate was the least favourite as lots of people said it was ‘bitter.’ The most popular variety was the sweet white chocolate.
We’ve also been researching how chocolate is made; we found out that it starts as cocoa pods and beans which are grown in Places such as Ghana, the Ivory Coast and Nigeria.
We also had fun designing our own chocolate factories.
In English we wrote a balanced argument about Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory closing.
We continued working with fractions in Maths.
