It was World Book Day on Thursday, and the children were asked to dress up as their favourite character from their favourite book or a book they have read. So many children dressed up as an array of characters from across the reading world.
We had characters such as; Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the Gruffalo and Harry Potter. Some even dressed up as animals from a book like a dinosaur, a crocodile or even a lion!
The children that dressed up looked so colourful and adults at home were so creative with ideas. Even the children’s teachers in class dressed up. We had some adults dress up as Mickey and Minnie Mouse themselves. Another one of our teams dressed up as 101 Dalmations, with Mr Thomas, one of our support staff in the EYFS classes, portrayed Cruella Deville from the same book.
It was lovely to see the effort made by children and adults combined. So many smiling faces seen on this day.
