Despite having a shorter week in school due to parent consultations, we have been extremely productive this week!
In Maths, we have started looking at decimals. We used place value charts to convert fractions into decimals of tenths and hundredths. We thought it was going to be tricky, but it really wasn’t, and we got really speedy at doing it.
The amazing author, Sarah Shafi , came to visit us on Thursday. She shared some of her books with us and talked about how she gets her ideas for her books. She also talked about how important editing is; So now the students believe us when we tell them ‘even authors have to edit their writing!’
Sarah gave a whole set of her books to our library, and also a signed copy to the pupil who asked the best question.
