Nursery have learnt about the holy month of Ramadan and the Eid celebration. We watched videos, read some stories, explored dressing up in cultural clothing and enjoyed having an Eid party in our role-play area.
Some children could recall what their families do during the month of Ramadan. Some children mentioned receiving a gift on different occasions.
Ayla said,”my mum and abba (dad) are fasting, it’s Ramadan, Eid Mubarak” and she gave her friends a hug to show us how to greet someone on Eid.
Isa said, “we pray in the mosque”.
Zahra said, “mummy buy me a gift, I like henna on my hand”.
A few children said that they get gifts on Christmas if they’re good.
Some said that they celebrate their birthdays and dress up.
We all had a great time learning about Eid and wishing all our Nursery families A very Happy Eid! Have a great time with your loved ones!
