This week in maths we have been exploring the mass of objects. The children used balance scales to compare the mass of two objects and describe the mass of the objects using the vocabulary ‘heavier’ and ‘lighter’. The children had great fun comparing objects with the scales then learning how to use units to measure the mass of objects. We enjoyed trying to estimate the number of cubes it would take to balance the scale before we measured.
