On Wednesday, our Year 6 children attended the Junior Citizen Event in Romford where they had a fantastic morning. This event has been running for many years but this is the first in-person event that has taken part since COVID-19. It has been designed specifically for year 6 children who are moving on to secondary school next year; the children take part in a range of workshops on how to stay safe which are by Transport for London, London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police. Our children had a fantastic time taking part in these workshops and learnt lots of valuable knowledge.
We were very proud of how well behaved the children were, their mature responses to questions and how engaged they all were. At the end of the day, we were also informed that one of our children has been recommended for a special award for his knowledgeable performance in the knife awareness workshop! A fantastic morning was had by all.
