This week in our science lessons we continued to think about different types of animals. We went out into the school grounds to see what animals we could find. During our exploration, we found lots of insets in our quad garden and a number of birds on the roof and in the field. We discovered and named pigeons, blackbirds and magpies. Back in class, we were able to explain how we knew the pigeons, blackbirds and magpies were birds by remembering the characteristics of birds that we have learnt.
The children are looking forward to finding out more about animals throughout the year.
