This week nursery have been showing a good interest in selecting books and reading them independently and with their peers. We have been learning to hold the book the correct way up, turning pages and using the pictures to tell the story. We have also been looking at text and talking about how we read to see what is happening on each page.
We would like to ask all parent/carers to read with their child everyday. It will not only help with your child’s reading skills but also improve their imagination and vocabulary.
