This week year 5 had loads of fun taking part in the Times Table Rock Star competition – England Rocks. The more the children played, the more points they scored. Ms Darcy’s class were so dedicated to the competition that they came 8th place out of 28,000 classes across the country! Incredible! This meant 5D also came top place in the school. They won an afternoon watching a movie with snacks, congratulations!
The children also took part in an inter-class Rock Slam competition. The winners from each class battled against each other in the hall while their classmates watched the nail-biting match. It was extremely close and all three winners received a trophy. The first prize winner was also presented with a Rubik’s Cube.
The competition will run again next year, so get practicing!
