Across the week, the children have been looking at sorting shapes into two categories; big and small. They needed to decide whether the shape was a big shape or a small shape. Once they had come to a decision, the children needed to place them on top of the visual word that stated the sizes.

Other children were looking at painting a picture from their book they are currently reading, ‘The Secret Sky Garden’. They had to try and paint a picture from one of the scenes from the story. They used water colours to bring their picture to life. They mixed the paintbrush with a range of colours to get that blending effect across their picture. They tried really hard and used excellent concentration to paint their picture.

Finally, more of our children were pretending to be in a ‘News Interview’ with a special guest from ‘The Secret Sky Garden’ book they are reading. The interviewer had to think of some questions that would link to the story and the characters they chose to portray. It all looked very serious but the children loved taking part.

Take a look at the pictures below to see the children hard at work.
