Following the success of our trip to Cherry Orchard at Christmas time, we were asked to pay the residents another visit. Over the last couple of weeks, children from year 5 have been working hard to make Easter bonnets to take to the care home. Making Easter bonnets is a tradition that the elderly people at Cherry Orchard would have taken part in as children. Miss Edwards was joined by Monteagle’s music lead Ms Jenkins who led a choir of year 5 and 6 children who gave an outstanding performance. It was heartwarming experience for the children, residents, carers and teachers to be involved in. We hope to visit again in the summer term.
