In English, Year 3 have started reading the book ‘Into the Forest’ by Anthony Browne.
The summary:
One quiet morning, the little boy and mum sat down to have breakfast but dad was gone and mum didn’t seem to know when he’d be back. They all missed him. But where could he have gone?
Children had to freeze frame the breakfast scene in pairs and were then tapped on the shoulder and asked to voice their thoughts in role. Children then role-played a short conversation between mum and the boy. They all did some fantastic acting!
