Year 3 have been party planners this week!
The children have been learning how to write instructions based on the party thrown for the king in the book The King Who Banned The Dark. We decided that all great parties need cakes, clowns and banners. First of all, the children researched a specific area and then made a plan. They went onto writing a first draft and improved this through an editing session. They then used their redrafting skills to write their guide up in best. Through teamwork, the pupils then created a book which included a front cover, contents page, three guides and a blurb.
