On Thursday June 9th, year 6 were visited by the Globe Theatre. Resident actor Tom, who has worked at the Globe for a number of years and acted in a number plays including A Midsummer Nights Dream, led drama workshops with children in all four classes.
The children learned about the plays they will be performing next month with a particular emphasis on the themes within their plays. These themes include love, justice, and revenge.
Tom had the children working in pairs on various scenes from their respective plays. The children used a variety of acting techniques to show emotion and an understanding of the language in the text.
It was a fantastic day as all the workshops were held outside. Check out the photos below.
