Friday was a very exciting day at Nursery. We had a visit from ‘Owl Time’ and they brought a selection of different owls for us to learn about. We had a great time learning about the different types of owls we have in this country, how owls catch their food and about owl’s habitats. Some children had the opportunity to help call the owls using a special whistle and hold owls when they landed. We also had the experience of having owls fly over us and it was so amazing how silent they are when flying. Each child also had the opportunity to have a photo taken of an owl sitting on their shoulder. The children really enjoyed the visit.
Over the week the children created some wonderful pieces of art work relating to owls and spent time re-telling one of our favourite stories called ‘Owl Babies’.
