What an extraordinary week Year 4 have had. Having put on three dress rehearsals of ‘Joseph’ to children across the school, yesterday was the BIG day!
As I’m sure you’re well aware, the children have been rehearsing for the BIG day for several weeks. Not only during lesson time, but lunch times and after school in their own time. They have demonstrated all five character traits during this time, particularly perseverance when learning all the colours of Joseph’s coat and creativity when designing and making it!
The dress rehearsals went well and feedback from staff across the school was great. We acted on the advice of colleagues and made improvements in each dress rehearsal, making sure our voices were loud and clear and that we projected our voices when singing.
The grand finale yesterday was a real triumph and the children were very impressive. Not only did they make their teachers extremely proud of them, but they families and staff across the school too.
The Year 4 team would like to say a HUGE thank you to all those who came to the performance and have supported their children learning their lines and songs over the last few weeks. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Wishing you a happy and safe summer holiday,
The Year 4 team
