This week in Year 1, we embarked on an exciting journey through the poem ‘Squirting Rainbows’ from the delightful book ‘Out and About’ by Shirley Hughes. Our discussions centred around the essence of summer and how it manifests around us. Driven by our newfound inspiration, we collaborated in groups to create our own unique poem. We each contributed by writing one line, and together we thoughtfully arranged our lines to create a poem. We thoroughly enjoyed the process of creating and then reciting our poem to the class. It was a wonderful celebration of creativity and teamwork!
