This September the wonderful Year 1 children have already managed to learn two new songs: Find the beat and 1-2-3-4-5.
After warming up ready to sing, with some movement and call and response activities, this week the children learnt a song about counting and how it was so fun. They talked about their opinion of the song; whether they liked it and how it made them feel. They opinions included a number of the children liking the song because they love maths but also wishing the song had larger numbers beyond 10!
They then had their first experiences at school of playing a tuned instrument: the glockenspiels. Please enjoy seeing how some pupils got on below.
