In our last English class, students continued to explore Emma Carroll’s book Letters from the Lighthouse, focusing on the coded conversations between Ephraim and Queenie as they secretly aid the war effort. The class took part in role-play, crafting and performing their own coded dialogues. This activity not only enhanced their drama and language skills but also deepened their understanding of wartime secrecy and resilience.
