This week, we have been focusing on the story The Gruffalo’s Child by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. The story has sparked our imaginations and inspired a range of creative and interactive activities.
Our Activities:
-Creating Our Own Gruffalos: The children designed their very own Gruffalos, showing off their creativity and personal interpretations of the character.
-A Giant Gruffalo Collage: Together, we worked as a team to collage a big Gruffalo. It was a fantastic opportunity for collaboration.
-Story Role Play: We brought the story to life by acting it out.
-Small World Play: Using props, we recreated scenes from the story, allowing the children to retell the adventure in their own words.
-Playdough Characters: With playdough, the children created the different characters from the book, practising fine motor skills and storytelling along the way.
