This term, Year 2 have been learning an uplifting song all about rainbows. After learning the lyrics to the song and practicing it as a class, they learnt the instrumental on their glockenspiels using three notes; C major, D major and E major.
In yesterday’s lesson they then applied their knowledge of using these three notes to improvise their own instrumentals to accompany the song. You can see just how well they have been getting on so far below! Next week they will be turning their improvisations into a composition by recording their ideas on paper in a graphic score.
