For PHSE this week, year 3 stepped into the role of landscapers and worked in teams to design their very own garden. The teams included roles, such as “Landscapers,” “Budgeters,” and each team had a “Team Leader.” The task encouraged collaboration and involved several key steps:
1.Working together as a team
2.Deciding who the garden was for (e.g. young children, the elderly, etc.)
3.Planning an exciting “opening event” for the garden
4.Managing a budget to ensure the design stayed within a set spending limit.
Next week, the children will bring their plans to life by creating and designing their gardens. They are eagerly looking forward to the hands-on challenge!
