This year, the Student Council is excited to launch Monteagle Wellbeing Week! We’ve worked hard to develop a positive and inspiring week filled with fun, mindful activities for both children and staff. Our goal? To encourage everyone in the school community to take care of their mental and emotional wellbeing.

To kick start, we hosted a special staff meeting yesterday to introduce our plans for next week. It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm from teachers and staff, who were keen to get involved and show their support. We even had the chance to answer questions from staff, and we loved hearing their ideas and thoughts on how to make the week even better.

What’s Happening During Wellbeing Week?
Each phase of the school will have their very own Wellbeing Poster filled with exciting and calming activities. The challenge is simple: tick off as many activities as you can throughout the week. You can even repeat activities that you love! From mindfulness moments to movement breaks, there’s something for everyone.

The best part? This isn’t just for the children—we’re inviting all staff to join in too! Wellbeing is important for everyone, and we hope to see teachers and staff participating alongside us.

Why Monteagle Wellbeing Week?
We believe that taking time for our mental health and happiness helps us learn better, feel better, and be kinder to ourselves and each other. Whether it’s through breathing exercises, creative tasks, or simply enjoying nature, these activities are all about finding joy and calm in our busy days.

What’s Next?
We’ll be checking in with classes throughout the week to see how many activities they’ve ticked off. We can’t wait to hear about everyone’s favourite activities and see photos and reflections in Learning Journey Books and on the school website. Let’s make this week memorable and meaningful together!

Thank you to the staff for your incredible support—you’re setting such a great example for all of us. And to our fellow students, let’s embrace this chance to look after ourselves and each other.

Let’s make Monteagle Wellbeing Week a huge success!
