This week, Year 5 took a deep dive into the world of Greek myths—bringing them to life with creativity, technology, and storytelling!
Using iMovie, we became directors, editors, and storytellers, creating our very own movie trailers inspired by the legendary tales of ancient Greece. We started by downloading carefully chosen images from Google Classroom, selecting the perfect visuals to represent heroes, monsters, and epic battles. Then, we uploaded them into iMovie, where we added dramatic text, transitions, and sound effects to make our trailers as exciting as the myths themselves!
Of course, no blockbuster would be complete without a movie review, so we put on our critic hats and wrote detailed reviews of our own trailers. We thought about what made them engaging, how well they told the story, and how they could be even better.
It was an exciting way to blend history, technology, and literacy, and we can’t wait to explore more creative ways to showcase our learning. Stay tuned for more Year 5 adventures!
