This week, Reception children celebrated Wellbeing Week, All the children engaged in a variety of activities designed to promote our overall wellbeing. During the circle time, all the children engaged in meaningful discussion about personal wellbeing and shared their thoughts and ideas with their classmates. Children during the circle time enjoyed passing the little baby bear and spoke about how their day had been. They watched the powerpoint on mental health and wellbeing, discussed about feelings and emotions and then in the end reinforced- ‘we have to not only be healthy physically but also look after our mental health for staying healthy in all the ways’.
Reception children now know that in case they are feeling emotions which are making them sad/ frightened/anxious/unhappy then they must let a trusted adult know, so that they will help them to feel better. Overall it was a lovely week!
