Year 6 have been diving into the incredible story of Shackleton’s Journey, exploring the challenges of Antarctic exploration and survival. As part of their learning, they are preparing to write formal information texts about Antarctic animals. To support their research, the children have been using a range of animal fact books, gathering key information and developing their understanding of technical vocabulary. They have also been creating their own glossaries to define specialist terms, helping them to write with clarity and accuracy. We can’t wait to see their final pieces, showcasing their knowledge and writing skills!
