This half-term, Year 6 have been learning the original Mexican folk song ‘La Bamba’ made famous worldwide by Ritchie Valens in the 1950s. The song is sung in Spanish so we spent the first week perfecting our pronunciation of the words.
Since then the children have learnt a challenging instrumental on their chosen instrument and have also improvised their own instrumentals to accompany the song. You can see just how well they are getting on with their own instrumentals below!
