To start our ‘World Book Day‘ (week) – focusing on ‘The Tin Forest’ power of reading text, the we began by reading the opening 2 paragraphs from the story.
Before revealing to the children the characters, the setting or even the story title we read the text over and over to the children and asked them to imagine the scene it was set in and draw what was in their mind.
I think you’ll agree that they have some great imagination in 2S – super artwork!
