This week, Year 4 took part in their annual sports day. We were more concerned that it we might be washed away by the rain, but thankfully it held up till the end.
The children looked absolutely amazing in their team coloured T-shirts and were in fine voice as they cheered for their team mates. They each took a turn in traditional sports day races, such as the egg and spoon race, balancing bean bags on their heads whilst running, throwing games and the most fun game of all… the obstacle race!
We ended the event with a sprint finish as the children and staff took part in the race of a life time! All of the year 4 staff, and some courageous parents, were excellent sports too as they raced each other. This added another element of fun to the occasion as all the children could cheer for their teachers and parents, though there was a hint of competitiveness between the staff!
Thank you to all the family members that came to watch and cheer the children on, it made it a really special occasion. The children did spectacularly well and made their teacher extremely proud.
Well done to Longbride- the winning house!!
