Tradition dictates that the last day of the year in primary school classrooms across the country be spent watching Disney films while the class teacher cleans out their cupboard. Not this year at Monteagle*. This year we filled our field full of inflatable wonders and spent the day bouncing.
Holding our Summer Fair on the last day of term worked out brilliantly with children, parents and teachers all in jubilant mood. As well as the inflatable park (with castles, ball-pit, assault-course, slide and giant ‘darts’) families also enjoyed the opportunity to browse stalls, hook-a-duck, soak-a-teacher, get their faces painted and win a prize in the raffle. They even had the op-paw-tunity to meet Marshal who took the afternoon off from his duties with the Paw Patrol to join in the fun.
A simply great day, during which our community relaxed and played together.
Lots of people helped out on the day, running stalls and ensuring everything went smoothly. In particular, we would like to say an enormous thank you to Dawn Lambert; Louise Steadman; Paula Mahoney; Jackie Oram; Tulen Nevzat and Gary McCarthy, whose hard work in the run-up to the event, and on the day itself, made it such an outstanding success.
