This week in writing, we continued reading our story ‘Ice Palace’. The main character, Ivan, had just been invited to a feast in the forest; we all wanted to understand his thoughts and feelings. To help us with this, we danced around the classroom in an attempt to recreate the scene, formed a large circle with some children in the centre miming the playing of fiddles. Finally, we organised ourselves into small groups and performed a dance to the rhythm of the music. Ask us to tell you what has happened so far in this adventurous story. We cannot wait to see what happens to Ivan next.
