To help show the children how the Great Fire spread through London, we made our own model of London using the Tudor buildings we designed and made last week … and set it alight!
We began by starting the fire at Pudding Lane in the bakery and watching how fast it spread along the rows of overlapping houses; just like it did in the Great Fire!
We were very lucky to have Mr McCarthy come to help us. Not only did he start and supervise the fire, he also gave all of the Year One children some very important fire safety tips!
