This term, year four children will focus on journeys. We spoke in groups about the journeys we take whether it is a journey from home to school, or a trip abroad. The children were able to talk about what they saw along the way, especially from a plane. One of the children spoke about the large farms she could see from the plane and talked about all the lines and patterns!
On the tables, were a variety of aerial images, weather maps, mazes, and old maps of Paris and London. The children discussed the similarities between them but also noted the differences. They looked at the lines, shapes, and patterns and came up to the class to share their discoveries. Over the next few weeks, the children will be creating their own journeys using a variety of methods.
