This week our book for the week was Harry and the Dinosaurs go to school.
We have had fun learning all about dinosaurs. We now know lots of new words about dinosaurs, including their names, the different ways to describe the dinosaurs and how they lived. We made up our own dinosaurs and described these to our friends. We have be sharing and retelling lots of dinosaur stories and acting out stories using small world figures.
We have been looking at how dinosaurs moved around and copying some of these movements to support our gross motor skills. We have also be doing lots of fun activities to develop our fine motor skills such as dough disco, hiding dinosaurs in sand and using tweezers to get them out, drawing dinosaur footprints with chalks and making dinosaurs with construction and play dough. We have also been getting very creative by painting our favourite dinosaurs and talking about these.
