This week we have been learning about the different parts of a plant and discussing their requirements to grow successfully. We have planted cress seeds and have discovered that in just one day the seeds were germinating with tiny shoots. The children have been very excited to see the growing stems every day and today they will be taking them home to eat!
Next week there will be more planting of seeds and the children will be watching a runner bean produce roots, a stem, leaves and hopefully scarlet flowers before having the delight of eating their own runner beans!
