Year 5 opera singers have just completed an incredible two days of filming at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. They participated in a ‘Building Blocks’ filming project to help produce teacher-training films based around the Royal Opera’s ‘Create and Sing’ project.
The Year 5 singers worked tirelessly, learning a wide range of repertoire from the operas ‘Hansel and Gretel’ and ‘Carmen’. They also explored the operas creatively through movement and acting. In the end they put it altogether to create a mini opera.
The filming was done in a professional studio, with a professional crew. The final product will be released later this year, stay tuned to check it out.
