This week in Year 1, we have continued our exploration of the animals topic within our science curriculum. We began the week with an enlightening animals workshop on Monday, where we had the opportunity to meet, touch, and even hold a variety of creatures, including a snake, cockroach, gerbils, millipede, and tarantula. We were thoroughly fascinated by the animals and engaged eagerly, asking their keeper many insightful questions. This workshop served as inspiration for our culminating activity, where we designed our own pets to take home. We thoughtfully considered the suitability of our chosen animals and used everything we have been learning about animals to consider their needs. What a fantastic week we have enjoyed!
