What a jam-packed week we have had the past 5 days!

So many different things happening across our classes that it has been a joy to see so many children get to experience so many different things. One class took a trip to the local shop to buy ingredients for their cooking activities. They needed to write a list of things they needed and then walk to the shop to buy it all themselves. The children had a fantastic time looking though the isles and going to the counter to buy things. They were so well behaved, and the class teachers were so proud of the whole class.

Another two classes went to a ‘zoolab’ experience with mainstream classes. Here, the children were shown an array of different critters and small animals to look at, stroke and even hold if they were feeling confident enough to do so. All the children who went sat incredibly well and were very gentle with the animals. Not all children touched the mice, snakes, toads, and other critters, but there were so many smiles and giggles from the children.

Finally, other classes were being creative and sensory based with their activities, being as messy as possible! So many of the children we work with love sensory based activities, and this really shows then they are presented with an activity they can get their hands, feet or face into.
