The children of Monteagle were visited by the author Seth Burkett, who hosted some inspirational assemblies and workshops for years 2 – 6.
Seth Burkett told his autobiographical story of how he was an aspiring footballer but was told that he wasn’t good enough to play for his local team. He showed great determination by researching and applying to play for teams all over the world. The children in year 2 and 3 were particularly impressed by his placement in Brazil!
The year 5 and 6 pupils took part in fantastic workshops where they got to improve their persuasive writing skills. Seth said that he was amazed by the questions and debate skills that the children of Monteagle had!
