Taking our yeast investigation a little further, we decided to find out what happens to the gas that emerges from the yeast mixture.
We mixed quantities of yeast, sugar and warm water together. The mixture was mixed in a see through bottle and a flat balloon was placed over the neck of the bottle. We observed the reaction of the mixture at 5 minute intervals. Can you see what happened to the balloon? What happened to the mixture?
