In year 3 we have been learning about invasion games. The first invasion game we have been learning about is Bench Ball, a pre cursor to games like Netball, Basketball and transferable skills for other games like Tag Rugby and Flag Football.
This game is all about team work and working together to reach a shared goal. Players must pass the ball to each other within the rules of the game and eventually passing the ball to their target player to get themselves a point for their team.
The children have displayed a high level of passing, catching and movement skills in their journey of game understanding within invasion games.
